Pre visualization 2013

This year we worked on a world building exercise. My group created an alien snow planet, with terraforming non-native aliens that were susceptible to the cold weather. The planet is rich in underground heat vents and lava, which power the steampunk styled weapons and systems created by the aliens.

Created in Photoshop.

Finished build for my DTD2 project at university. Play it here!
I aimed to create a field where a player could click on a randomly generated crowd with randomly generated attributes. To find out more about the people within the crowd players can click on each person and a GUI display shows their name, occupation, and a mysterious success rate number.
Overall I’m quite pleased with this. I originally wanted the units to randomly generate within the space, but due to time constraints was unable to add it to my final product.
Along with this if you click on multiple names they will all overlap in the display field.
This was a very challenging project for me, as I have never written scripts this complex before. I’m excited for next year!

University work! Super proud of this :) View Larger
